Acceptance of terms

By joining the Good Shout waitlist or texting our number, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not sign up or text us.

The waitlist

The Good Shout waitlist lets us tell you when a spot opens in your city. By signing up, you agree to receive emails from Good Shout about your key and our launch; you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. Being on the waitlist does not guarantee a spot.

SMS Terms

Good Shout, operated by Good Shout Inc., is an invite-only recommendation service delivered by text message. Members text us to ask where to eat, who to hear, what to buy or where to go, and to share what they love. We reply with recommendations from people in their circles or, when their circles don't have one, from other members whose taste fits theirs.

How to join: Open a key a member shared with you and tap "Text Shout," or text HI to (316) 444-6711. Membership is invite-only. Without a key, we'll offer to hold your place in line; if you don't say yes, you won't hear from us again.

Keys: Members can share personal invite links ("keys"). Each key works once and expires after 7 days. Keys are personal — don't sell them or post them publicly. We may deactivate keys that are misused.

What you'll receive: Replies to the messages you send us. If you're a member, a text when someone uses a key you shared. If you're in line, one text when a spot opens. If you say yes during sign-up, one check-in a month, called The Shout. We don't send anything else. Message frequency varies.

Costs: Message and data rates may apply. Good Shout does not charge for the service.

Opting out: Reply STOP to (316) 444-6711 at any time. You'll get one confirmation message and nothing after that, and you'll leave the line if you're in it. To rejoin, reply START.

Carriers: Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use Good Shout.

Your content

You own the recommendations you share. You give Good Shout permission to show them to other members (people in your circles, or all members if you choose) and to anyone you share your guide or a shortlist link with, as described in our Privacy Policy. Don't share anything unlawful or anything that isn't your own opinion, and say so if you own, work for, or are paid by anything you recommend.

Recommendations

Recommendations come from members, not from Good Shout, and are provided as-is. Check details such as hours and reservations before you go.

User conduct

You agree to provide accurate information, use only your own email address and phone number, and not attempt to access unauthorized areas of our systems.

Intellectual property

All content on the Good Shout website, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Good Shout Inc. and is protected by copyright laws.

Limitation of liability

Good Shout is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Good Shout Inc. is not liable for any damages arising from your use of the waitlist or the text service.

Changes to terms

We may modify these terms at any time and will update the date above. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
